The purpose of the Beracah Homes venture was to fill a void left when the modular home company, Nanticoke Homes, went bankrupt in the spring of 2002 and left many without jobs. In addition, there were no local modular home construction manufacturer on Delmarva Peninsula of Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. Beracah Homes settled in Greenwood, Del., in February 2003. And within two months, production started. Constructed in a controlled production facility, the company s house plan options include homes ranging from approximately 684 square feet to 2,000 square feet. Beracah Homes is a wholesale builder only. Individual homebuyers must purchase their homes through one of the company s retail builders.
