The Groton Long Point Association is an arm of the governing body in Groton Long Point, a subdivision in Groton with many beachfront homes. The association helps oversee eight tennis courts, the harbor, roads, buildings and recreational facilities in the neighborhood. Groton Long Point also has its own fire district and police department. Groton Long Point's board of directors runs the daily operations of the government, but any major decisions are made by the subdivision's membership as a whole. Bob Congdon is president of the Groton Long Point Association and head of its board of directors.
