United Church on the Green is part of the larger United Church of Christ ( or UCC ) across the country. Believing that God is still speakingin the world, we join with our denomination in advocating a new vision of a multi-racial, multi-cultural, open and affirming church, accessible to all.Grounded in our belief that the Holy Spirit calls and empowers us as partners in transforming the world, we commit ourselves as a Just Peacechurch to the cause of reconciliation. In the same way, we have made a commitment to be Open and Affirmingof all people, specifically including lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons. The Just Peace Church vision is a hallmark of United Church of Christ theological identity.
