Plainville Recreation Department
The Recreation Department, operated by the town of Plainville in Connecticut, offers a variety of seasonal and year-round programs. Its children s programs include wrestling, volleyball, basketball, tennis, synchronized swimming, indoor soccer, skiing and snowboarding. The department also conducts dance, karate and pottery classes for children. It additionally provides golf, softball, aqua aerobics, arts and crafts, boating, fitness, quilting and boating programs for adults. The Recreation Department also organizes field trips, musical concerts, town carnivals and Halloween parades. Incorporated in 1869, Plainville is a small town with more than 17,600 inhabitants. It is known for an extensive manufacturing and business base, as well as an educated pool of experienced workers.
