The town of Ellington's education department is led by the Board of Education and the Superintendent of Schools. There are 10 Board of Education members, plus the superintendent. The Board of Education and the superintendent are in charge of making sure the town's schools run smoothly. In Ellington, there are two elementary schools -- Crystal Lake and Center School, a combined elementary and intermediate school -- Windermere, a middle school -- Ellington Middle School, and a high school -- Ellington High School.
Board meetings are normally held on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. All meeting notices are posted in each school, the School Administration Building, the Town Hall, Hall Memorial Library, and on the Web site. Please check postings for appropriate meeting dates and locations.
