Established in 1910, the Warehouse Point Fire Department provides fire and rescue services for road accidents and natural disasters. Its fleet includes trucks equipped with specialized rope rescue equipment, concrete saws and thermal torches, and pumpers that can carry more than 750 gallons of water and feature hydraulic ladder racks and seating for five firefighters. The department is located in East Windsor, Conn., and it organizes various social events that include parades and carnivals. The Warehouse Point Fire Department also organizes training programs and drills.

Inside the department is antique fire equipment and several offices. The mission of the Woodbury Fire Department is to deliver to the citizens of the Town of Woodbury the highest degree of protection of life, property and the environment that is technologically possible and economically feasible.

Lost Acres Fire Department

The 44-member Lost Acres Fire Department of Granby was first incorporated in 1936. The Granby Center Station, located at 206 Salmon Brook Street, was added to the department in 1987. It is the largest of the three stations and houses a 1,000 gallon pump truck, a 3,000 gallon tanker truck, and a special operations truck. The other stations are the West Granby Station located at 256 West Granby Road and the North Granby Station located at 352 North Granby Road.
