Thai Sawasdee, established in 2007, is a small but intimate venue in Center Groton. The restaurant serves Thai dishes such as Basil Eggplant, Sliced Steak, Tom Yon Goon's world famous soup and Yum non Tuk, a Northeastern-style salad on sticky rice which was popular in the owner's home town. Other rice varieties include white, jasmine and brown and black rice. Desert options include Thai specialties such as mango ice cream. The restaurant has attractive table cloths, guilded mosaics and other Eastern artwork. Thai Sawasdee also does take out and catering. Beverages include wine, Saki and Asian beers Tsingtao and Singha.
