St. Mark's Episcopal Church is a busy place. In addition to holding four worship services each week and regular religious study for adults and children, the church hosts many community and civic groups and activities.
The Senior Men's Club holds its weekly meetings in Morrill Hall. Along with the First Presbyterian Church, St. Mark's co-sponsors New Canaan CaTS, a career transition support group. Each summer, the church is home base for Camp Hand-in-Hand. In 2009, parishioners started a vegetable garden which helps supply the New Canaan Food Bank, also based at the church.
St. Mark's carillon rings once a month on Sunday mornings, on major holidays, and as the opening act for courtyard concerts. Carilloners come from far and wide to play it.
For 60 years the great lawn at St. Mark's has been transformed one Saturday in May for the annual May Fair and Strawberry Festival. The event draws thousands from around the area. All the proceeds are donated to charity.
