The child-friendly hair workshop has been in business since 2002. According to its owner, Jordan Rodofsky, Snip was the first salon in the Fairfield/Southport area to dedicate its services to kids of all ages, in addition to adults. When you walk into this full-service facility, it seems like you've walked into a children's play area instead of barbershop -- toys, car-designed seats, stuffed animals, kid's seating and play area, games and a huge fishtank decorate the salon. In addition to his hair shop, Rodofsky and his business partner, Dave Meredith, also sell inflated balloon rentals for kids' parties and skooters. He's a well-known member of the Southport community, sponsoring more than $50,000 to children's charities and sports teams including the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club. Prices are very reasonable. It also offers an anti-lice line of hair products.
