History
Located conveniently near the town green in Guilford, Shoreline Strings Studio services violin, viola and cello students from all over the Connecticut shoreline and New Haven County. Founded in 2012 by Director and Teacher Gretchen (Taubl) Bergeron, the studio has grown from offering simple private and small group classes in both Suzuki and Traditional methods, to chamber groups of all levels and early note-reading ensembles. Combining her love of working with children and young adults with her desire to encourage excellence in their lives, Gretchen has developed the studio with creative teaching techniques and unique performance opportunities. Students of Shoreline Strings have performed both in groups and as soloists at venues ranging from historic Mechanic's Hall in Worcester, MA to the Guilford Citizen's Day Parade, to studio recitals held at local churches and retirement facilities. They have also successfully auditioned in competitive arenas such as the CMEA regionals...
