Ansonia Middle School is a part of an urban school district located in the lower Naugatuck Valley area of Connecticut. It enrolls more than 700 students from grades six through eight. The school provides a comprehensive education in all core curricular areas and includes courses such as English, mathematics, science and American history. It also gives instructions in health and physical education, computer science, art and music. The school also has a special program where students are assigned to teams of teachers in the areas of reading, writing, mathematics, science and history. Every month students from each team are recognized for their academic achievements.
