History
Maura Harris has been a Learning Specialist for nearly 25 years. Often, her students also struggle with emotional and/or social challenges as well as academic ones. These areas of a student's life do not exist alone, rather, they each influence the others. Thus, Maura became and educational therapist in order to support students socially, emotionally, and academically. This business has grown into including equine assisted therapy and learning (Maura is training in this certification now)
Specialties
SEA Educational Support works one on one with students on social, emotional, and/or academic challenges they face in school. Students in grades 4-college enjoy their sessions because they experience timely improvement and success. Our goal is to empower students with skills individually tailored to them. We begin with an individual consultation and create learning objectives. Then the student has one-on-one sessions, committing to a month at a time. Session notes are provided to parents, and a parent meeting can be called at any time. Most students require one to two sessions per week. Inevitably, our work together leads students to greater self confidence and the ability to succeed on their own.
