Located in the heart of downtown Springdale, Schilo Seventh-Day Adventist Church serves Stamford's Franco-Haitian community by offering weekly worship services, youth groups meetings and Bible study meetings. Led by Pastor Gedeon Fontil, Schilo also offers its 100-plus congregation a live feed of the church's most recent services via its Web site. Schilo's chapel is over 14- years-old and was the former home of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, which vacated the property in 2003 and merged with Trinity Episcopal Church. In an agreement with the Episcopal Church, former members of Emmanuel who purchased plots prior to the church's closing are permitted to be buried in the small cemetery located behind the building.
