Quinebaug Fish Hatchery, 141 Trout Hatchery Rd, Central Village, CT 06332, US

Rhode Island's department of environmental management fish and wildlife division maintains over 3,000 acres of wildland in West Kingston. Hunting is permitted within season with a license. The area is great for passive pursuits like hiking, bird watching, kayaking and canoeing. The William C. O'Neill bike path runs through the area for a scenic ride. There is a state run gun target range on site open only between April 1 and September 30. A permit is required and you must attend a range safety briefing prior to use. Permit applications are accepted by mail only from February 1 thru September 20 each year. Applications for permit are available online.
