Northeast Academy Elementary School opened in a new building in January 2008, and is part of the Groton Public School District. The school serves about 410 students in prekindergarten through grade five, and has two half-day prekindergarten classes, two half-day kindergarten classes and two full-day kindergarden classes. In addition to academic subjects, the school offers orchestra, band and vocal programs, along with an art room including a pottery kiln. Parents volunteer in the school's classrooms as well as in the art, media and music programs. Paul Esposito is principal.
