First Baptist Church of East Greenwich is a warm and welcoming congregation that worships according to the American Baptist tradition. The congregation meets in a beautiful, late Victorian building in downtown East Greenwich. The Church is known in town for its very popular May Breakfast, a celebration of spring and good eats. The Baptists are the oldest Christian denomination in continuous existence in East Greenwich. First Baptist Church regularly collaborates with other local religious organizations to provide food and care for those in need. The Church is also active beyond East Greenwich, sending a group from the parish on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic every other year.
