Established in 1962, Motel 6 is an economy lodging chain operated by Accor North America Inc. with more than 1,000 locations throughout the United States and Canada. Located in Wethersfield, Conn., standard amenities at its motels include local phone calls, no long distance access charges, morning coffee, data ports, Wi-Fi Internet access and cable channel line-up. It is a pet-friendly chain and most of its locations offer swimming pools and guest laundry facilities to guests. Its parent company Accor North America Inc. also operates other upscale and economy properties, including Studio 6, Ibis, Sofitel Luxury Hotels and Novotel in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
