Winner of the 2010 University of Connecticut medium-size business Family Business Award, Miller Foods, home of Oma's Pride and O'Paws animal products, has been in business since the 1950s. The Miller family sells over 4,000 holiday turkeys each year as well as semi-boneless "turkease" and "turduckenease," dinner complements and fresh pies. Miller Foods also sell natural pet products for cats and dogs under its Oma's Pride and O'Paws labels, including ground ostrich, tuna, salmon, rabbit, yak, lamb and veggie mix, llama and sweet potato. Oma's Pride products are healthier for pets' skin, coat, and gums. Their products, made without additives, reduce the effects of allergies and other pet skin diseases. O'Paws now offers freeze-dried pet products. .
