Milford Public Works is a department operated by the city of Milford in Connecticut. The department is responsible for the maintenance of city buildings. Its highways and parks division maintains various parks, streets, sidewalks, municipal building grounds, beaches, tennis courts and ball fields. Milford Public Works has a wastewater division that manages two water treatment plants. Its solid waste division is responsible for the collection of garbage, recyclables and waste from residences. The department also offers garbage removal services. Additionally, Milford Public Works operates an engineering division that conducts construction inspection and provides survey services for municipal projects. Its garage division maintains a fleet of more than 250 vehicles, including police vehicles and boats, backhoes, garbage packers, lawn mowers, chain saws, plows and sanders.
