Lumberyard Pub moved into a former lumberyard two years ago and has established a thriving scene. There are 10 flat-screen overhead TVs playing sporting events, a spacious bar, outdoor picnic tables, indoor seating and free Wifi. Two percent of sales is donated to a worthy, local non-profit each month. The Woodcock Nature Center in Weston was a recent honoree, and it shared its collection of stuffed local woodland creatures with the pub for display. The bartender wore two live cobras to mark the occasion.
On Sundays, Lumberyard serves "farmer's market omelet" and other specialties to the crowd that gathers for the weekly farmer's market in the adjacent parking lot. The Sunday brunch also features "Kegs & Eggs," with bottomless mimosas.
