HistoryGreater Hartford Physical Therapy, P.C. was incorporated on September 1, 1987 as a professional corporation registered in the state of Connecticut to provide outpatient physical therapy. GHPT began as a single office in the West End of Hartford and has since opened additional offices in South Windsor (1992), Bloomfield (1995), the South End of Hartford (1999), and Southington (2007). In 1999, Greater Hartford Physical Therapy developed a corporate logo and slogan that personifies our commitment to quality healthcare and a lifestyle of physical fitness. Livefit, LLC was subsequently formed later in 1999 as a Connecticut Limited Liability Corporation in order to administrate the use of this logo and slogan and to identify GHPT with high quality medical care and a fit lifestyle.SpecialtiesIt is the mission of Greater Hartford Physical Therapy (GHPT) to provide quality physical therapy services to the greater Hartford area. We will provide therapeutic services within the realm of physical therapy to persons of all ages who present with dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal and neurological systems or other medical conditions requiring the need for rehabilitation. Our goal is to provide the highest degree of excellence in physical therapy services utilizing a combination of traditional physical therapy modalities, innovative manual techniques, and the most current techniques in exercise rehabilitation. Additionally, GHPT will strive to promote wellness and injury prevention to the community through example, education, and community outreach programs.
