About Lisa's Luna In 1989, Louis Termini opened the first Luna Pizza in Hartford, CT. Located on Franklin Ave in the Italian section of Hartford, Louis offered a New York style pizza made with only the freshest ingredients. After much success he opened a second store in West Hartford and then a third store in Simsbury in what was then the Farmington Valley Mall. In 1995 the mall transitioned to the now standing Simsbury Commons shopping center and Luna Pizza reopened with a bigger dining room and a large delivery service. In 2008, John and Lisa Maurer purchased Luna Pizza from Louis and along with help of long time manager Robert Oldziej, Luna Pizza continues to offer the same outstanding New York style pizza that local pizza connoisseurs have come to expect. Luna Pizza's menu also offers grinders made on bread delivered fresh each day from Arthur Avenue Bakery in the Bronx. Other popular offerings include garlic knots, chicken bites and Italian ice. Luna Pizza offers a full selection of draft beers and red and white wines. John and Lisa Maurer live in Avon with their two sons and would like to invite you to visit them at Lisa's Luna Pizza in Simsbury Commons. You won't be disappointed!
