La Sorpresa y Mas, a Colombian restaurant and family-owned business, opened its doors to the Norwalk community on November 17, 2001. Named in honor of the owner's mom, it offers fresh baked goods and traditional Columbian foods, such as Bandeja paisa, pastel de pollo, Lengua rellea (stuff beef tongue), sobrebarrriga a la criola (boiled top flank steak) empanadas, chorizo and more. It also offer all sorts of Columbian products: frozen arepas, queso, beverages, candy and much more.
