Kess' Cafe is located along historic and quaint Plantsville, on West Main, downtown. It's one of those restaurants that is so brilliant, you can't believe it's in such an unassuming location. But here it is, and for the most part, it continues to receive adulation from the neighborhood and beyond. (There's been numerous write-ups in various papers.)
The food can be as eclectic as the interior furnishing -- however, it all works beautifully. Selections vary with the season, and perhaps the whim of the owner/chef, but can include entrees that feature rack of lamb, petite filet mignon with champagne sauce and sea scallops.
