Kang Tae Kwon Do & Hapkido was started by Korean born Ik Jo Kang. Grand Master Kang is an expert in Tae Kwon Do, Hap Ki Do and Kum Do and has worked for over 40 years to instructing students in these martial arts. In addition to training hundreds of black belts, Grand Master Kang has been actively involved in Korean culture both at home and abroad. He has sat as chairman of the Federation of Korean American Committees during the 1988 Seoul Olympics and is the former president of the Korean Association of the U.S.A. He has won numerous awards for his relentless community work.
Grand Master Kang works with students of all ages to develop the body physically, mentally and spiritually. He places a strong emphasis on teaching students how to apply their martial arts skills to other situations in their lives. In addition to group classes, private lessons and birthday parties are available.
