K21 Kid Strong Foundation is a nonprofit organization providing an autism enrichment program using International Kyokushin Karate, created in consultation with behavioral and developmental pediatricians, as well as occupational therapists. Classes are held twice weekly and are meant to create a supportive opportunity for children with autism spectrum and related disorders to learn, grow and engage. Founded by David R. Farzinzad along with incorporators Philip Allmendinger, M.D., Robert Caruso, Kristin Garrison and Martin Leftoff, Ph.D, K21 Kid Strong Foundation works toward an inclusive and civil community that possesses capable and giving children who, when faced with challenges from life, exhibit self-regulation, perseverance and success.
