The Happiness Club, established in 1999, is interested in promoting happiness to improve people's health, decision-making ability and the way they present themselves to others.
The club meets on one Thursday a month from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in Fairfield Public Library (dates vary, consult the website or call the library), and Lionel Ketchian, president of the Happiness Club, writes a regular column, the "Be Happy Zone," for the Fairfield Citizen-News, a semi-weekly newspaper in Fairfield published on Wednesdays and Fridays. Ketchian also is host of "The Happiness TV Show," which airs Mondays from 9:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Cablevision of Connecticut's Channel 77.
The Happiness Club also publishes a free happiness newsletter on its Web site, www.happinessclub.com
The Happiness Club was created to promote the benefits of being happy and says being happy benefits people's health and is the best self-improvement plan for becoming a better and friendlier person. The club believes happiness enables people to become positive and powerful and access the wisdom inside themselves to make better decisions.
The Happiness Club lists its address as 63 Unquowa Road, Fairfield.
