Compassionate, professional treatment of anxiety, depression, grief and loss, medical challenges, caregiver stress, and challenging life transitions, including divorce. Also specializing in the treatment of reproductive spectrum issues, including healthy and high-risk pregnancy, pregnancy loss, stillbirth,high- risk infancy, neonatal loss, postpartum adjustment, reproductive decisions, and infertility. I am open to exploring religious and spiritual identity and practice for patients who wish to better understand the connections between these, their psychological issues, and potential avenues for coping. I am particularly knowledgeable about Judaism but have worked effectively with patients with other religious backgrounds as well. My therapeutic approach is based on the following foundations: respecting the patient; creating a therapeutic environment that is safe and nourishing; developing an honest, trusting therapeutic relationship; guaranteeing strict confidentiality; actively providing feedback and suggestions; setting goals collaboratively; and addressing current needs and goals. Where indicated, patients have the opportunity to make connections between current issues and past experiences, during childhood and adulthood, that may help us to understand and resolve current difficulties.
