Four Corners Liquor Shop is the oldest liquor store in Connecticut, and is rich with history. The business was actually in the Lieberman family, as in Joe Lieberman, and was given the first liquor license in 1934 after prohibition. It has since been purchased by new owners and has been in its current location since 1974.
Though not visible from outside the store is large and stocked with a very fine collection of exceptional vintages. The knowledgeable staff is great for a recommendation if you need help choosing a wine or a new beer.
If in the off chance Four Corners doesn't have what you're looking for in stock, it can happily order it for you. It's more likely, however, that Four Corners will already have something better available. Be sure to check in and find out when Four Corners will be doing one of its summer tastings because they are not to be missed.
It is important to note that to access the store going south on High Ridge can be difficult so you may want to park at Home Goods and walk a few feet over. Otherwise there is an abundance of parking when entering from northbound on High Ridge.
