Founded in 1966, Ezra Academy is a day school that provides educational programs to Jewish children. It enrolls more than 220 students in kindergarten through grade eight. The school serves over 20 towns of New Haven and Fairfield counties in southern Connecticut. Ezra Academy provides lessons in math, science and life skills. It also offers lessons in music, art and computer. The school organizes educational field trips to art, science and cultural history museums, historical communities, seats of government, and concerts and plays. Ezra Academy houses the B'nai Jacob Congregation Library, which features over 10,000 volumes of Judaica. The school offers various sports activities, including soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis and golf. It operates drama, chess, knitting and breakfast clubs. Ezra Academy is affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism and accredited by the Connecticut Association of Independent Schools. It is located in Woodbridge, Conn.
