The David Hecht Kitchen story started in 1957 with our founder David Hecht. His vision was to move the kitchen remodel experience from local carpentry shops and into a showroom setting. The showroom was then augmented with a sales team which held in-depth product knowledge and more importantly the insight of how to utilize these products effectively in our customer's homes. First, David selected Wood-Mode cabinetry, the finest Pennsylvanian source for custom cabinets, as the product he wanted to bring to the homes of his clients. With hand-rubbed custom finishes, time has shown this to be a prudent choice. The second decision he made was to incorporate true "built-in" appliances and custom counter tops featuring inlaid stainless steel sinks. Both of these decisions positioned David Hecht Kitchens decades ahead of its time. All of this provided our Connecticut and Rhode Island customers an array of products, beautiful yet functional designs and a friendly, helpful design team, focused on both quality and service. Today, we continue conducting business along these principles and are excited about our new location in Waterford, CT. After 50 years in Norwich, we have created a state of the art, "must see" showroom to showcase the different products we have to offer. We invite you to come in and browse our displays. I know you will have a wonderful experience and leave as excited about your project as we are.
