Connecticut Association of Schools, formerly known as the Connecticut Association of Secondary Schools, was established in 1953 through the merger of Connecticut Association of Secondary School Principals and Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference. It is a nonprofit, tax-exempt educational organization, serving schools, students and staff, in all areas of operation. The organization is affiliated with the National Federation of State High School Associations, National Association of Secondary School Principals, National Middle School Association, and National Association of Elementary School Principals. It annually sponsors a variety of workshops and conferences to meet the professional development needs of Connecticut's educators. It also sponsors awards for administrators, teachers, students and schools. Connecticut Association of Schools is located in Cheshire, Conn.
