The Church of Saint Ann is located next to the home of the governor's horses.
Saint Ann's is the only Catholic church in Avon. Worship services are led by Reverend John W. McHugh. Bible study and education about Catholicism is available for youths and adults. According to the church website, the church also offers services and sacraments to residents of convalescent homes, upon request via phone. Parishoners of the church are active in the community, whether volunteering, providing rides for those who need transportation to medical appointments or visiting prisons to distribute copies of "The Word Among Us" to prisoners during Lent. The Marthas and Marys is a group at Saint Ann for women of the parish to engage in spiritual, social and community activities. The local Knights of Columbus is also affiliated with the church.
St. Ann's also houses the Avon Food Pantry, which is open on Tuesdays. Contact the parish secretary for hours. The church requests that weddings be scheduled at Saint Ann at least six months in advance.
