Pastor Josue Estrada has led this recently renovated Pentecostal church near Meriden's City Hall since 1979. Sunday and Tuesday services are held in Spanish, but headphones are available to translate sermons into English. Children's groups are also bilingual. Summer services focus on community outreach; this is when congregation members take mission trips to Latin America and collect clothes and food to donate to local residents. Apostolic Community Church

Located next to the post office on Center Street, Apostolic Community Church has been serving Meriden since 1951. The church adheres to a Bible-based philosophy, in which "the Bible is the inspired Word of God, giving a true history of the creation of heaven, earth, and humanity and containing a correct prophecy of the ages to come regarding heaven, earth and the destiny of humanity," according to its Web site. The church also runs choir and youth groups, Bible study and a focus on missions.

Faith Center Church is a "United Churches in Christ" congregation, led by Bishop Joseph Norfleet. Norfleet is a Meriden resident and former Connecticut Department of Corrections officer who founded the church in 1989 and now acts as presiding bishop for the network of United Churches in Christ, which are located in and outside of the U.S. Faith Center has ministries for children, singles, a robust women's program run by the bishop's wife, Maddaline Norfleet, dance team ministries and a men's ministry. The church also founded and runs an orphanage in southern India for children affected by the 2005 tsunami that swept through Southeast Asia.
Catholic Church

St Stanislaus R C Church

Founded in 1889 as the Polish church in town, St. Stanislaus still offers a Polish language mass at noon each Sunday, in addition to three English-language masses throughout the weekend. The current structure on Akron Street was built in 1908, and the former building is the site of St. Stanislaus School, which serves students in pre-kindergarten through 8th grade.
