History
Founded in order that communion would be served in New Haven more than once a month, Christ Church now celebrates the mass every day. The neo-gothic church building was designed by Henry Vaughan, noted architect of the National Cathedral in Washington, DC. Pews were never installed because of their association with pew-rents. To this day, the nave is filled with chairs, and the church welcomes all.
