Volunteers of America is a national not-for-profit organization that offers human-service programs in forty-four states, including Connecticut. The chapter in Stratford is part of the 400-community effort to help at-risk youth, the elderly, persons recently released from incarceration, the homeless, people with disabilities and recovering substance abusers. Volunteers of America is also an interdenominational church that focuses on creating a more compassionate world. This office is located on the first floor, just inside the main entrance.
