Founded in 1970, Help is a private, nonprofit agency that provides a range of community mental health care services for adults with substance abuse disorders and persistent mental illnesses. The agency offers several community connection programs, including residential mental health and addiction treatment. Help has a staff of more than 65 employees. Its services are funded through the state of Connecticut s correction, judicial, and mental health and addiction services departments. Help operates Kinsella Commons, McAuliffe Manor, Rev. Edward M. Dempsey Drug Services Program, Glenlunan and Wynnewood Residential Services.
