Carmen Anthony Fishhouse of Avon opened in 1999, and is now one of five Carmen Anthony Fishhouses in Connecticut. The others are in Waterbury, Woodbury, Wethersfield and New Haven. Some of the menu selections include potato-encrusted crabcakes, blue point oysters, bouillabaisse and more. It was nominated by Connecticut Magazine in two categories: Connecticut's Best Chowder and Crabcake. Wine aficionados can acquire a private locker, using its specially-priced stocking program.
