Established in 1917, Camp Washington, a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut, is a residential summer camp for boys and girls. Its complex is spread over 300 acres and can accommodate more than 150 persons. It provides children with nutritious meals, campfires, talent shows, story and song nights, evening worship sessions and various recreational activities, such as archery, canoeing, horseback riding, mountain biking, outdoor sports and swimming. Additionally, it offers participation in arts and crafts, drama, challenge activities, dance, living skills, photography, music and Christian exploration. Camp Washington employs trained staff and professional instructors. Its facilities include rooms, cabins, meeting rooms, auditorium, kitchen and dining hall. Camp Washington is located in Lakeside, Conn.
