The Bethany Alliance Church lcoated on Huntington Road in Stratford is part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) organization that was formed as a cross-denominational church in the late nineteenth century by A. B. Simpson, a Presbyterian Church pastor. Since that time, C&MA has become a worldwide evangelical movement with more than 2,000 C&MA churches in the U.S. and 81 countries.
