HistorySeven Star School of Performing Arts in Brewster, owned and operated by Nicole Aravena since its inception in 2001. The school started modestly, but soon exploded into one of the top dance and performing academies in Putnam County. Now co-owned with her mother, Donna Aravena, the school offers a variety of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, breakdancing, pointe and more. In addition, Seven Star School provides programs in theater, drama and voice with an annual Nutcracker in December and a Mainstage Musical in May. Many instructors have background in the entertainment industry, from Broadway to television work. Seven Star School of Performing Arts opened their new state-of-the-art, 2-floor studio in September of 2014. The facility includes 5 dance unique studios, a vocal studio, a parent lounge with closed-circuit television, free wi-fi, children's tv and a homework area. Studios are equipped with mirrors, sprung Marley floors and high quality sound systems.SpecialtiesSeven Star School of Performing Arts offers a complete performing arts education in dance, acting and voice for ages 2 - 18.
