This building houses town departments and services including the First Selectman's office, the Assessor, the Finance and Treasury Department and the Social Services Department. The First Selectman is the town's chief executive/administrative officer. The Assessor makes sure that every taxable property in town is assessed in accordance with the law so that all the town residents share the property tax burden.
