For over 13 years the Upper Room Thrift Shop has sold gently used items of all types and distributed profits to those in need in Southbury. Many organizations have benefited from the thrift shop's success including the Southbury Food Bank, a sister parish in Haiti, and local outreach groups. The Upper Room Thrift Shop also participates in the annual Dress for Less fashion show. From prom dresses and cooking implements to baby clothes and bric-a-brac, the Shop accepts a broad range of items in good condition for donation.
