A. O. Sherman LLC manufactures vanes that are tapered in chord and thickness often with convoluted forming. The PressRoll process that the company utilizes is patented. Other vane configurations manufactured by the company are rolled vanes that incorporate heating or cooling slots or holes. The company along with sheet metal inlet guide vanes produces several different hollow vanes made from tubing or sheet metal. A. O. Sherman has made vanes from Inconnel, Greek Ascoloy, Waspaloy and other high-tensile, high-temperature alloys and hard to work materials that hold very close tolerances at a lower cost than other methods of manufacture. The company also makes different types of hollow inserts, baffles or impingement tubes.
