Talbott Farms started in the early 1900s with some of the first orchards in the Grand Valley region of Colorado. Through four generations, the family business has grown to become the Grand Valley's premier grower and processor of quality fruit and fruit products. Today's senior management includes three great-grandchildren, one grandson, and nearly a century of experience carrying on a tradition of quality fruit production. Talbott Farms is located in Palisade, in Colorado's Plateau region, 4,727 feet above sea level and home to world famous peaches. It's characterized by dozens of separate plateaus that range from about 5,000 to 11,000 feet high and arranged in tiers and groups, separated or cut by deep canyons formed by tributaries of the Colorado River. Rugged hills and a few mountain ranges rise from the Colorado Plateau. Formed by the uplifting of the area combined with localized erosion and the down cutting of the Colorado River, Palisade's sculptured appearance was first inhabited in 1881. By 1894, the first peach, pear, apple and grape orchards appeared and established Palisade as today's "Peach Capital."
