San Juan Basin Technical College, located in Cortez, Colo., offers a range of educational programs to students. The college provides practical education designed to develop skills, work habits, attitudes and understandings that aid the student in the workplace. The programs are designed to simulate the actual job situation as much as possible. Additionally, the tech college makes the effort to provide the employed worker the opportunity to upgrade skills related to the present job, and to re-train employees whose jobs change because of automation and technology. All the post-secondary programs at San Juan Basin Technical College are eligible to transfer to Colorado community colleges.
