Established in 1937, the Southeast Colorado Power Association is a nonprofit cooperative electric utility that serves more than 10 counties throughout southeast Colorado. It provides a variety of electric products, such as water heaters, compact fluorescent bulbs and motors. The cooperative supplies products from various manufacturers, including Marathon, DuraBright and Comfort-Cove. It offers online bill payment, budget billing, energy auditing, economic development, visitation, repair and installation services. The cooperative additionally provides rural electric and revolving loan programs for its members. It is a member of Touchstone Energy, which is an alliance of nonprofit electric cooperatives that delivers power and energy solutions to over 22 million customers throughout the United States. The Southeast Colorado Power Association operates a division, SECOM, which is a communications company that offers Internet services for residential and business applications.
