History
I am a Lafayette, Colorado oil painter of magical western landscapes in which intensified hues express my passion, symbolic motifs transform detail, and dramatic contrasts add power to the composition. My current National Parks series of paintings are based on plein air studies and photographs from my travels. My purpose is for the viewer to share my emotional response inspired by nature. My artworks have been shown in The Butler Institute of American Art, The CM Russell Museum, Salmagundi Club New York, Denver International Airport, Panhandle Plains Invitational, Western Masters Art Show, Art Steamboat, Old West Museum and US Senator Michael Bennet's office in Washington, DC. I have exhibited from New York City to Los Angeles and from Montana to Alabama and in Florence, Italy.
