The Platte Valley Fire Protection District (PVFPD) is a special district in Weld County, Colorado, established in 1954 to provide professional emergency services to the Town of Kersey, community of Gill, and surrounding unincorporated areas. With a team of career firefighters, paramedics, administration, reserve firefighters, and EMTs, PVFPD responds to fire, EMS, and rescue incidents, as well as citizen assists, community events, fire prevention training, and more.
As a publicly governed organization, PVFPD is led by a board of elected Directors who reside within the District. Committed to serving the citizens, PVFPD offers a wealth of information for residents, neighbors, and children, and welcomes inquiries via phone, email, or in-person visits to their station in Kersey.
