History
Luke's obsession with and passion for photography started when he was given his first SLR- a used manual-focus Nikon AF - in order to photograph a school trip to France. The X-Ray machines at the airport left green streaks across all but three frames of film. This lead to his investment in lead-lined bags; several hundred rolls of film later he found himself attending the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. After school, his real-world education has included assisting and retouching for Celebrity Photographers in Los Angeles, Architectural Photographers in Minneapolis and working in the Marshall Fields In-House Product Photography Studio. His first client was the inventor of the beanbag chair.
Specialties
Luke Weismann is able to take both an artist and a craftsman approach to photography for his clients. He attended the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. Afterward, he apprenticed with several photographers who were at the top of their field. When working on larger projects with a creative team, he is able to +1 the concept they've worked to create for the end client. On smaller projects, he is able to use his creativity to build a concept that shows his clients, their products and services in the best possible way - giving the same care to someone who wants to send a vintage pinup poster to their boyfriend stationed overseas that he would for a commercial client.
